Customer Service `Executive

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our small team. You must have a passion for small business and be ready to jump right into the task at hand. Familiarity with Royal Mail click and drop services, online ordering systems such as Shopify and Woo Commerce will be advantageous but full training and support will be provided. 

This role will require you to independently problem solve and manage customer enquiries and orders. It is an exciting, multi-faceted role in a rapidly growing, young company. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail while being able to keep the big picture in mind.

While organisational office skills are important, this position requires excellent customer service skills as well. You’ll be liaising with suppliers, wholesale and retail customers as well as supporting our Workshop Manager. Relationship building will be a key aspect to this role. 

Hide & Hammer is based in Stroud, Gloucestershire and specialise in luxurious handmade leather and canvas bags and accessories which are distributed worldwide.

Tasks Include

  • Email management & customer relations
  • Packaging and posting orders
  • Assisting with stock control
  • Assisting with website management
  • Office admin
  • Some quality control duties

Job Requirements

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to channel the H&H tone of voice
  • Produce work to deadlines
  • Manage time effectively and be self-motivated
  • Be able to work independently as often working on their own
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel

The customer service role is a part-time position of approximately 10-15 hours per week initially ramping up to 20-30 hours per week to cover maternity leave from mid-October 2021. You must be able to work weekdays and an occasional weekend. Wages for this role is commensurate with experience and Hide & Hammer are committed to paying a living wage. Interviews will be held on the week commencing 16th August and if successful second interviews to follow the last week of August. 

This is a dog friendly workplace so it’s important you are able to get on with the current residents; if you’re allergic or ‘not a dog person’ this sadly might not be the right job for you.
